First fully appearing in Skaar: Son of Hulk Issue 1 from 2008. Skaar is the son of Bruce Banner, The Incredible Hulk, and Caiera the Oldstrong. After the events of World War Hulk and his mothers passing, Skaar is abandoned as a child in the swamps of Sakaar where he fights for his life.

Like Banner, Skarr is initially seen as more monster than hero with his strength and magic feats and shares a rocky relationship with his father. The Son of Banner also has a knack for breaking worlds as he baits Galactus to destroy Sakaar and his enemies and forces the Silver Surfer to join his army. While his plans are foiled, he is sent to Earth to learn what it means to be a Hulk.
